There is no way for a host to know the name of the machine that connects
to it, other than a PTR record. I mean:
When someone connects on your application, all you know is their IP
address (1.2.3.4). PTR is how the question "What is the name of
1.2.3.4?" is answered. Hence the requirement of a matching A RR.
