[RFCI-Discuss] What if abuse@... is deaf and mute ?

Hi,

What if mail to abuse at proxad.net is apparently /dev/null'ed ?

One particular box is allowed, by proxad, to keep trying to abuse
open relays. No response and no action from abuse at proxad.net

The spammer's box is at 88.191.27.185

http://www.spamhaus.org/sbl/sbl.lasso?query=SBL46975

Mentioned in news.admin.net-abuse.sightings as of sep 15,
only 12 days ago...

After sending a couple of spam reports, I no longer want to do
this so I just feed them back their own spam. Bon appetit. They
are still hungry and at least the spam isn't ending up on someone
else's plate now.

If the provider doesn't act, what would the next step be?
Contact ripe perhaps? Or is that too much to ask of them?
I understand that disconnecting 88.160.0.0/11 is quite harsh
but shouldn't a provider be responsible or be discontinued?
This known spammer has found a safe harbour at proxad, IMHO
this makes proxad a spam haven.

thanks
alex
