Microsoft has nothing to do with it, I needed a domain that was in the
REGISTERED state to demonstrate the whois output, and several other
obvious names are still in APPLICATION PENDING state.

If you looked at the whois output you'd see that both the .be and .eu
output is practically the same (the .eu output even includes phone
numbers for the registrar), yet .eu is currently listed for having no
whois while .be isn't listed.
