I believe he forwarded it to abuse at aol.com, which is all he/she
should have to do. Any discussion about "other addresses or points of
contact" is not terribly relevant to the discussion at hand.

Unknown, but some answers might presumably be:
"because he/she wants to receive mail from valid AOL users"
"because he/she doesn't control the mail servers at his ISP and has
not got that level of control."
