Helo,all,
I'm a little confused from your discussion. Is the MX record a correct FQDN or not?
For example,when I 'dig 126.com mx',I got:
126.com. 1786 IN MX 50 mx.126.split.netease.com.
mx.126.split.netease.com. 436 IN A 220.181.15.131
mx.126.split.netease.com. 436 IN A 220.181.15.132
mx.126.split.netease.com. 436 IN A 220.181.15.133
mx.126.split.netease.com. 436 IN A 220.181.15.134
mx.126.split.netease.com. 436 IN A 220.181.15.135
Then, could I use 'mx.126.split.netease.com' for my helo domain?
And,when a helo domain don't match the client, the receiver MTA should reject this connect or not,it also seems a little astatic. Most of domains receive our messages even if we use bad helo domains, but SINA (mail.sina.com.cn) send us a warning declaring that they would reject our messages if we don't use standard helo domains.
