Fair enough.  It still bothers me though that the service is advertised 
as being for Yahoo employees and partners and that if I fail to identify 
the correct option for my problem, I end up being rejected.

I'm rather negative on phone systems of this sort based on experience of 
  living in France and calling Sony US (or Canada) tech. support phone 
system which has this sort of annoying system.  Literally half the time 
the phone system would hang up on me even _before_ reciting its menu to 
me and that was for public use. (But I digress again.)

In the end, I think it comes down to this:

	Is the given phone number, which is intended for employees
	and partners of Yahooa suitable entry point for the public
	with network issues, regardless of the subtle menu options.

My first impressions is says: no.
